SAN ANTONIO, TX- Men's Tennis opened up their 2021-2022 campaign at Trinity University for the ITA regionals (Sept 24-26). Competing in both singles and doubles, the Celts represented well and showed promise for the spring season.

In the A Draw for doubles, the dynamic duo of Jace Ware and Juanrodrigo Lopez stormed past McMurry University and the University of Texas at Dallas to advance to the highly competitive round of eight. However, they would drop this match to the eventual champions out of Trinity University. Also competing in doubles was Race Haas and Tyler Head, along with Dorian Cudina and Carson Steele who lost in the round of 32 to the Yellow Jackets of Letourneau University. Jeremiah Hoover and Jason Clark also competed in the Men's B draw of doubles.

Jace Ware had a stand out performance in singles taking on tough competition. After a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the round of 64, he would advance to the Main Draw. However, he would fall to commendable competition in the following round.

In Singles B Draw Consolation, Carson Steele made it to the round of 16 before dropping a match to Nick Gates (Howard Payne University) who made it to the final four. Jeremiah Hoover also saw success in the D Draw, making it to the round of eight.

Women's Tennis will kick off their season this weekend as they host the Women's ITA Regionals in Kingwood, Texas.
