UST Earns Multiple All-SCAC Honors

IRVING, Texas – After a historic season, University of St. Thomas head coach Mansa El and the Celts made their mark on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) postseason awards. In just her second season at the helm, El was named the SCAC Coach of the Year after leading UST to a remarkable turnaround, finishing with a 14-9 overall record and a 12-4 mark in conference play. Under her leadership, the Celts closed the regular season on an 11-game winning streak—the longest in program history—securing the No. 2 seed in the Blue Division heading into the SCAC Tournament.

Junior guard Amyia Bowie also received All-SCAC recognition, earning a spot on the Third Team. Bowie was a key playmaker for the Celts all season, showcasing her defensive intensity and scoring ability. She also received votes in the Defensive Player of the Year balloting, highlighting her impact on both ends of the court.

Additionally, four Celts earned Honorable Mention recognition: Ravyn Ellis (Sr., G), Macie Whitfield (So., G), Audrey Hernandez (Jr., G), and Kenna Gibson (So., G). Their contributions played a pivotal role in UST's success this season.

With a strong foundation in place, the Celts will use this success as a stepping stone for even greater achievements next season. As they continue to grow and develop, UST looks to build on this momentum and take the program to new heights in the years to come.
