
HOUSTON,TX- The SCAC office today announced the women's bracket for the 2025 conference basketball tournament, which will begin Friday, Feb. 28 in Irving, Texas on the campus of University of Dallas. Women's Tournament Bracket | Official Tournament Website
The seeds for this year's women's tournament are as follows:
Blue Division
1) Colorado College (15-1 SCAC; 23-2 overall)
2) St. Thomas (12-4 SCAC; 14-9 overall)
3) Ozarks (7-9 SCAC; 13-12 overall)
Gold Division
1) McMurry (14-2 SCAC; 21-4 overall)
2) Texas Lutheran (14-2 SCAC; 20-4 overall)
3) Trinity (10-6 SCAC; 14-11 overall)
The Celts enter the SCAC Tournament after a strong regular season, finishing second in the Blue Division behind nationally ranked Colorado College. UST will open the SCAC Tournament against defending champion Trinity on Friday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. in Irving, Texas, after recently defeating them at home 79-63. Their balanced attack and defensive tenacity have been key all year, and they'll look to carry that momentum into their opening-round.
Another win over Trinity would set up a semifinal showdown with McMurry, the top seed in the Gold Division, on Saturday. UST is poised to make noise in the SCAC Tournament and fight for a shot at the program's first-ever conference championship.
