
Women's Basketball competed in their second consecutive DI exhibition game Wednesday night, facing off with the Islanders of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The Celts would drop this contest, 79-38.
St. Thomas would find themselves down early, falling behind by 17-points at the conclusion of the first frame. Only making one bucket in the first ten-minutes of play, the Celts would jump-start their offense in the second quarter, putting up 12 points. However, the Islander offense would continue to roll, scoring twenty-five.
Despite opening the second half with a 13-0 run, the Celts would fail to climb back from their halftime deficit.
Micayla Hamilton would lead the Celts in scoring with nine while dishing out two assists. Having her season-high in points would be Freshman Nia McGee. McGee would notch eight points while recording a pair of steals.
The Celts will head to Jackson, Mississippi for two games this weekend. They will open up with No.25 Millsaps College on November 20th at 1:00PM
