Alyssa's journey in the volleyball coaching world began early, marked by her role as a Coach at The Volleyball School in Katy, TX. Since June 2021, she has orchestrated over 300 coaching sessions for young athletes. As the developmental team's coach, she led practice sessions that honed athletic abilities and fostered invaluable teamwork skills among the athletes. Alyssa's dedication to excellence is also evident in her impressive collegiate volleyball career. During her time at UST, she played right side and notched 808 career kills and 840 career digs. In addition, she was elected Team Captain for consecutive seasons (2021-2022 and 2022-2023). Furthermore, her stellar performance on the court earned her the MVP title at the Hendrix Invitational and a place on the SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team for multiple seasons.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Alyssa's professional versatility shines. As a student, she graduated summa cum laude with her master's in finance. She spent time as an Assistant at BoyarMiller in Houston, showcasing her adaptability and organizational skills in tasks such as answering calls, managing emails, calendaring, handling legal document filing, and expense reporting. It is these experiences that have prepared her to start her collegiate coaching career beside assistant coach Kat Tatum and under Head Coach Keanne Burt, ‘10 also a UST Alumna.
