Volleyball Stuns No. 5 Colorado College

Volleyball Stuns No. 5 Colorado College

Despite dropping the first two sets, UST Volleyball would come from behind and stun No. 5 Colorado College in a five-set thriller.

With their backs against the wall, the Celts were able to scrape together three consecutive wins to grab their third conference victory of the season. With Colorado College threatening to end the match, the Celts would claim the third set, 25-21. With momentum leaning towards St. Thomas, they would edge the Tigers 25-22 in the fourth, to force a deciding fifth set. In this set, the Celts would complete their comeback with a 15-13 victory.

Defensively, Paige Havel, the nation's leader in blocks per set, would lead St. Thomas with two solo blocks and 10 block assists. While Kelsie Walker would have a team-high 23 assists to go along with her 15 digs.

UST Volleyball will return to action next weekend as they travel to North Texas to take on SAGU and Texas Wesleyan.
