In a nail-biting encounter at the UTD Activity Center, the St. Thomas Celts secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over the UT Dallas Comets. The match showcased intense volleyball action, with both teams giving their all on the court.

St. Thomas took the first set with a score of 25-20, with standout performances from Audrey Cataline and Laynee Beam. Cataline displayed her prowess with a series of kills, while Beam's precise serves kickstarted an early 9-3 run in favor of the Celts. 

The second set saw UT Dallas bounce back with a vengeance, winning 25-18. St. Thomas struggled to maintain their momentum as UT Dallas players stepped up their game. The top players for St. Thomas in this set were not specified.

St. Thomas answered back in the third set, winning 25-21. Audrey Cataline continued to shine for St. Thomas, contributing crucial points. Each team traded blows back and forth, however St. Thomas' .171 hitting percentage narrowily edged Texas-Dallas' .071 to get the win, powered by 11 kills. 

The fourth set proved to be a nail-biter as UT Dallas narrowly edged out St. Thomas 27-25. Laynee Beam played a pivotal role for St. Thomas to try and keep them in it, but UT Dallas managed to secure the set with strong team play.

The fifth and final set witnessed a fierce battle, with St. Thomas ultimately emerging victorious with a score of 15-11. Once the Celts took a swift 3-0 lead, they never looked back. Five different players recorded a kill and Ally Peters notched a service ace to secure the win. 

Offensively, Audrey Cataline had 20 points in the match with 18 kills and two service aces. Next, Freshman Brenna Groenemann hit an outstanding .500 on the night with nine kills. Kendall Howard led the team with 23 assists across the board, and Kara Spice anchored the Celts backrow with 27 digs.
