The Celts second game of the Hendrix Warriors Invitational went the distance as St. Thomas would capture their fourth victory of the season after a five-set thriller with Hendrix College.

The middle blockers, Paige Havel and Laynee Beam, came up huge for the Celts both offensively and defensively. Havel would yet again reach double digit kills posting 13, while hitting .171, while Beam would hit .400 and also record a season-high 13 kills. At the net, the duo disrupted the Warriors attack as Havel had five solo blocks and three block assists; Beam would chip in six block assists as well.

To open the match, the Celts would jump on Hendrix, taking the first two sets. However, the Warriors would claw back into the game by taking sets three and four to force a deciding fifth set. Both St. Thomas and Hendrix would trade blows for the entirety of the set. It wasn't until the Celts trailed 11-12 that Laynee Beam would record two of her 13 kills to push UST to victory.
