Carpio and the Celts finish 4th at SCAC Meet

Men's Cross Country concluded their SCAC meet finishing fourth place. Against the field of all SCAC Schools, the Celts finished in the top four for the second consecutive year. 

St. Thomas was led by sophomore star Jhancarlos Carpio who finished sixth place. The two-time SCAC Runner of the Week showcased his speed clocking 26:19 at an impressive 3:17/k pace. Following him, freshman Micah Hampton was able to secure a 21st place finish with his time of 27:07 and 3:23/k pace. Another Freshman Marc Mendoza was able to finish top three for the Celts running 27:11.70 with a 3:24/k pace. Senior Lucas Wolf in his last conference race posted 27.25.70 and a 3:26/k pace. Also running for St. Thomas was former SCAC runner of the week James Urbina. Urbina checked into the finish line at 36th with his time of 27:48, at a 3:28/k pace. 

With team scores combined, St. Thomas finished 4th. Ahead of SCAC rivals Texas Lutheran, Dallas, Centenary, and Schreiner.

Although the conference season is completed, Men's Cross Country isn't done yet. The Celts will run again at the regional Cross Country Championships on November 12th!
