Men's Cross Country Takes Third at Berry College Invitational

Men's Cross Country had their best finish of the 2021-22 season at the Berry College Invitational in Rome, GA. The Celts took home third place in a field of the 15 teams and would finish second among Division III competitors.

 

Andres Padron would continue to lead the Celts, locking in a top-ten finish while running a 26:18 8k time. Returning from injury, Freshman Jhancarlos Carpio would finish second for St. Thomas and 17th overall, recording a 27:09. Finishing 35th overall would be UST's Lucas Wolf. Wolf would be the third Celt to finish while logging a 27:57 performance. Just the two runners later, Jaxon Boyd would round out St. Thomas' top five, running a 27:58.  

 

Riley Gould and Carlos Hinojosa would compete in the 8k race as well, finishing 95th and 109th overall, respectively.

 

The Celts will be back in action Saturday, October 30th in San Antonio, Texas for the SCAC Championships.
