Men's Cross Country concluded their 2021 season with a third-place finish at the SCAC Championships. After not being able to compete at last year's conference meet due to COVID-19, the Celts left their mark, logging the program's best finish yet.
Freshman Andres Padron, who's consistently led St. Thomas throughout the season, finished fourth overall while running his personal-best, 25:49. With a near top-ten finish, Jhancarlos Carpio would finish second for the Celts, clocking a 26:37 time with a 5:21 mile pace. James Urbina and Lucas Wolf would complete their race with back-to-back finishes. Urbina would place 18th overall and run a 27:10 while Wolf would finish 19th with a 27:15 time. Rounding out St. Thomas' top-five would be Jaxon Boyd. Boyd would log a 27:35 performance en route to a 21st place finish.
Riley Gould (36th) and Carlos Hinojosa (38th) would have a strong showing for the Celts as well, posting a 29:07 and a 29:43, respectively.
