The University of St Thomas Men's Cross Country team competed at the Nory Hersey Rice Invitational. Amongst a field of Division I and Division III programs, the Celts placed the highest of all DIII schools at 8th Place.
Continuing his stellar sophomore season, Jhancarlos Carpio topped all DIII runners with a time 20:58, securing a 20th place finish. Not far behind was James Urbina who placed 22nd with a time of 21:14. Rounding out the top three finishers for St. Thomas was freshman Marc Mendoza who locked in 38th place clocking 22:04.
Men's Cross Country is back in action on September 24th at the Concordia Invitational.
