UST  Kicks Off Season at Owen Hewett Invitational

NORMAN, OK- The University of St. Thomas men's track team kicked off their indoor season with a strong showing at the Owen Hewett Invitational in Norman, Oklahoma. Facing a competitive field, the Celts showcased their talent and potential, signaling a strong start to the season.

Freshman Joshua Martinez made a spectacular debut in the 60m hurdles open, finishing 2nd with a time of 8.89 seconds—just one-tenth of a second shy of the school record. His performance reflects the promise of the team's younger athletes and their readiness to compete at a high level.

The 400m open featured Terrence Veal securing 3rd place with a time of 51.83 seconds, while Bryce McIntyre turned in an equally impressive performance in the 400m Invite, claiming 3rd place with a time of 50.31 seconds.

In the 60m open, Chris Releford emerged as the team's top finisher, completing the race in 7.26 seconds and adding to the Celts' strong start.
