
SAN ANTONIO,TX- UST Thomas men's track and field team kicked off competition at the Tiger Invitational in San Antonio, with field and distance events leading the way on the first day of action.
Jonathan Castro delivered a standout performance for the Celts, winning the 10,000m with a time of 33:28.56. His effort not only secured first place but also placed him second in the SCAC conference rankings and second in UST program history for the event. Castro's endurance and strategy helped him separate from the field, showcasing his ability to compete at a high level as the outdoor season gains momentum.

The Celts will be back on the track Saturday, with sprint events and additional field events set to round out the two-day meet. With strong performances on the horizon, UST looks to continue building on its early-season success.
