
Men's Track and Field started the Texas Southern Relays this Friday. After the opening round of action, the Celts struggled through harsh weather conditions.
Bryce McIntyre highlighted the day for the Celts as he shined in the men's 400m prelims. McIntyre finished the event in a speedy 51.66 as he locked in sixth place and qualified for the finals tomorrow. His time bested a few Division One and NAIA competitions. Also competing for St. Thomas were Jacob Smith, Eduardo Waller, and Mason Wilen. The trio finished 12th, 13th, and 14th respectively with logged times of 53.33, 54.00, and 54.74.
In the men's 100m dash, Carlos Cazares, Victor Davis, and Makale Mingo competed for St. Thomas. Davis was the highest-placing Celt at 19th finishing 11.31. Mingo finished 23rd at 11.56, and Cazares 29th at 12.61.
