St. Thomas Earns No. 1 Seed

HOUSTON,TX- The SCAC office tonight announced the men's bracket for the 2025 conference basketball tournament, which will begin Friday, Feb. 28 in Irving, Texas on the campus of University of Dallas. Men's Tournament Bracket | Official Tournament Website

The seeds for this year's men's tournament are as follows:

Blue Division
1) St. Thomas (15-1 SCAC; 23-2 overall)
2) Colorado College (9-7 SCAC; 13-12 overall)
3) Dallas (9-7 SCAC; 13-12 overall)

Gold Division
1) Trinity (14-2 SCAC; 21-4 overall)
2) Schriener (12-4 SCAC; 19-6 overall)
3) Concordia (Texas) (10-6 SCAC; 13-12 overall)

UST enters the tournament ranked No. 25 in the latest D3hoops.com poll and riding high after defeating fellow top-seed Trinity 81-69 in their only regular-season matchup.

St. Thomas is seeking its third tournament title since joining the league prior to the 2019-20 season, having won back-to-back championships in 2021 and 2022. Trinity, which last made the title game in 2023, is seeking its first conference tournament championship since 2014.

A win in the semifinals would send the Celts to Sunday's championship game with a chance to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
