Men's Basketball Edged By Southwestern 70-67

In a closely contested match on February 9, 2024, the St. Thomas (Tex.) men's basketball team faced off against Southwestern (Tex.). Despite a strong effort from St. Thomas, Southwestern emerged victorious with a final score of 70-67.

The first half saw St. Thomas taking the lead with a score of 43-36, showing promising signs of offensive efficiency. Nick Anderson led the charge for St. Thomas with an impressive 25 points, showcasing his scoring ability with a combination of field goals and successful free throws. Nicholas Buffalo contributed 14 points, demonstrating his effectiveness in both scoring and rebounding.

Southwestern rallied in the second half, outscoring St. Thomas 34-24. 

Despite St. Thomas' efforts to maintain their lead, Southwestern's strong second-half performance ultimately secured them the victory. Both teams displayed resilience and determination throughout the game, but Southwestern's late surge proved decisive.
