Men's Basketball dominated the Austin College Kangaroos, having their best offense output of the season with 103 points. They would cruise to a 103-70 victory, earning their third SCAC win.
The Celts would come out the gate firing, shooting 64 percent from the floor, connecting on eight of their fifteen triples. A 10-0 run midway through the first half would bust the game wide open as St. Thomas would balloon their early lead to seventeen.
After being ahead by nearly 30 points, the Roos' would cut their deficit to 18 with two minutes remaining. However, three consecutive three pointers by Freddie Ricks III would snap all momentum and give the Celts a comfortable lead heading into the break.
The Celts' offense would continue to roll in the second half, pouring it on until the final whistle. At the 10-minute mark, St. Thomas would hold a 40-point advantage over Austin College. Every Celt that entered the contest would contribute to the high scoring affair, all chipping in at least four points.
Christian Alaekwe would continue to lead the Celts in scoring for the fourth straight game. He would post 20 points while shooting seven-for-ten from the floor. Freddie Ricks III would nail four three-pointers and go 80 percent from the charity stripe while adding 18 points. Andrew Adebo would get it done on both sides of the ball, securing the double-double with a monster performance of 13 points and 16 rebounds.
The Celts will take the floor again Sunday at 12:00PM as they face off with Centenary College.
