HOUSTON, TX- The UST Celts continued their winning streak with a commanding 98-71 victory over Howard Payne in Houston. This win marks their second triumph over the Yellowjackets this season, having edged them 95-85 in their previous matchup. The Celts now stand at an impressive 4-0 for the season.

The first half showcased a competitive start, with both teams battling for control. UST held a narrow 18-16 lead early, but Marion Williams quickly became the difference-maker. Williams poured in 21 points in the first half, helping the Celts extend their advantage. By halftime, UST had built a comfortable 53-31 lead.

Howard Payne came out with renewed energy in the second half, trying to cut into the deficit. However, the Celts' relentless offense and solid defense proved too much. UST continued to extend their lead, reaching 87-59 with six minutes remaining. They closed out the game strong, securing a decisive 98-71 victory.

Marion Williams led all scorers with 26 points, including 5 three-pointers. Sophomore Charles Gitonga was a force inside, contributing 12 points and pulling down 7 rebounds. Andrew Adebo also added 12 points and 7 rebounds, providing a steady presence on both ends of the floor.

Off the bench, junior Elazar Conley made an impact with 13 points and 7 rebounds, while freshman Omar Gayle led the team with 7 assists. The Celts dominated the boards, grabbing 48 rebounds and shooting an impressive 91.7% from the free-throw line.
