The University of St. Thomas men's basketball team will open the 2018-2019 campaign on Monday October 22nd at home against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
The Celts are coming off a 2017-2018 season that saw them finish with a 16-12 record overall and an 8-10 mark in conference play in Head Coach Anthony Medina's 3rd season. The Celts return 5 players with All-Conference honors in guards Kennard Robinson (JR/Houston, Texas) and Paris Marquez (SR/Atascocita, Texas), and forwards Orowo Eleyae (SR/Houston, Texas), Nathan Thormaehlen (JR/Katy, Texas), and Paul Taulton (JR/Pearland, Texas).
Oklahoma Wesleyan finished last year with an overall record of 26-9 and a 15-7 record in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles return two NAIA Division II All-Americans in guard KJ Malveau and forward Isaak Rowe. The Eagles made it to the Round of 16 in the NAIA National Tournament before they fell to Indiana East in double OT.
