Celts Sweep Texas Lutheran in Conference Doubleheader

HOUSTON,TX- St. Thomas Celts completed a dominant three-game sweep of Texas Lutheran with Friday's doubleheader victories  at Constellation Field.With the wins the Celts advance 16-11 overall and 14-6 in conference.

Game 1: Celts 10, Bulldogs 3
After trading early runs, St. Thomas broke open a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning when Alex Trinh tripled home Eduardo Tamez, then scored on Dillon McKee's sacrifice fly. The Celts put the game away with a seven-run seventh inning, highlighted by Adam Benavidez's two-run double and Tyler Mills' sacrifice fly.

Starter Jacob Mead  delivered 6.2 strong innings, allowing just two runs. The bullpen combo of Gavin Brewer and Walker Holzhausen closed out the victory.

Game 2: Celts 8, Bulldogs 6
St. Thomas jumped to a 6-0 lead through two innings, powered by Alex Trinh's solo homer and a three-run first inning. The Bulldogs clawed back with a five-run fifth, but the Celts responded with key RBI hits from Trinh and Gavin Mays to maintain control.

Senior pitcher Andrew Beisness (W, 4-1) earned the win, while closer Kameron Craig recorded his fifth save.
