We Up! Baseball Gets Series Sweep At Dallas

In a high-scoring and action-packed baseball clash, St. Thomas (Tex.) emerged victorious over Dallas with a final score of 15-10 on April 7, 2024.

The game kicked off with a flurry of runs as both teams showcased their offensive prowess. Dallas jumped ahead in the first inning, capitalizing on a sacrifice fly by Simon Turner and a single from David Saldana to take a quick 3-0 lead.

St. Thomas responded strongly in the second inning, with Jarod Smith's single driving in Gabe Garner to kickstart their offense. Armando Rocha's RBI single and Alex Trinh's sacrifice fly brought the score level at 3-3.

Dallas surged ahead again in the bottom of the second, taking advantage of wild pitches and an RBI single from Nate Curtis to regain a 6-3 lead.

St. Thomas turned the tide in the third inning with Timothy Mansell's three-run homer, knotting the score at 6-6. They added another run in the fourth and exploded for three more in the fifth, highlighted by Trinh's two-RBI single.

The offensive onslaught continued in the sixth inning as Jarod Smith crushed a three-run homer to extend St. Thomas' lead to 12-6.

Dallas fought back with determination, scoring runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to keep the game competitive. However, St. Thomas' offense remained relentless, adding insurance runs in the eighth and ninth innings.

Mason Seay's solo homer in the ninth inning sealed the victory for St. Thomas, despite Dallas scoring one more run in the bottom of the inning.

The game showcased a thrilling display of hitting from both teams, with St. Thomas ultimately emerging as the victors thanks to their relentless offensive performance.
