University of St. Thomas Baseball released their 2022 schedule featuring 40 games, 21 of which are Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matchups.
The Celts will open their season on February 4th, in Abilene, Texas with a three game series with McMurry University. Just a week later, they will host UH-Victoria in their home opener at The John Cooper School in The Woodlands, Texas.
The Baseball program gained new leadership over the off-season with the additions of Head Coach David Wood and Assistant Coach Torry Peterson. The Celts are coming off their first winning season in program history and will be returning three all-conference standouts in Jason Brown, Caleb Edmonds and Kyle Bearden.
"January 23rd can't get here soon enough. We had a very successful fall in terms of growth and buy in so we are excited to see what this group can do" Head Coach David Wood said. "We have a very jam packed schedule with everything from D1's to NAIA's on our schedule. It's going to be very competitive but we are ready. The boys ended the fall on a high note with a great fall World Series and we look forward to what they've done over the break in preparation for this spring."
