
Five Celts were highlighted on the 2021 All-SCAC Baseball Team. Parker Edwards headlined for the Celts, taking home Second Team All-SCAC honors.
Edwards, a freshman catcher from Houston, Texas turned heads both in the batter's box and behind the plate. In just his first season, he tied for team-highs in hits (40) and home runs (5). Edwards hit .357 with a team-best .589 slugging percentage on the season and recorded 29 RBIs. Defensively, he would throw out 10 runners, the most by any catcher in the SCAC.
Kyle Bearden, Caleb Edmonds, Jason Brown and John Sebok would receive All-SCAC Honorable Mention.
Bearden would start in every game for the Celts hitting .312 with three home runs while recording 18 RBIs. He would score 39 runs and steal 17 bases, each of which were top five in the SCAC.
Caleb Edmonds would record 40 hits and five home runs while hitting .364 on the season. He would rank top ten in the SCAC in batting average and on-base percentage (.474)
Jason Brown hit a remarkable .396 while driving in 23 runs. Brown would land in the conference's top five in batting average, on-base percentage (.512) and triples (3) and would receive Hitter of the Week honors after going six-for-eleven with 5 RBIs against Belhaven.
John Sebok hit a team-high .404, giving him the second highest batting average in the conference. He would record 40 hits on the season and would drive in 18 runs.
