Game One: UST-0 SU-12
The Celts didn't open their doubleheader the way they had hoped, as they found themselves down early after surrendering three home runs. Offensively, they struggled to find their grove and would drop the contest, 12-0.
Game Two: UST-11 SU-8
In the rubber match, the Celts were able to flip a switch and get their bats hot for the entirety of the game. A Parker Edwards RBI double would set the tone, putting UST on the board first. They would go on to score multiple runs in each of the next four innings as eight different Celts recorded RBIs. After Trey Escobedo would account for both of UST's runs in the second inning, Leo Galvan would deliver with a two-out RBI triple to extend the Celts' lead to two.
UST would see their largest offensive output in the fourth inning as they posted three runs. Hunter Pachal would lace a ball to deep right field to bring around John Sebok and Caleb Edmonds; Pachal would soon plate a run after a Jason Brown RBI single.
Kyle Bearden would record his second home run of the season in the fifth inning to build onto their lead as the game slowly winded down. The Mountaineers wouldn't stop fighting and would record six runs in the final two innings, however, this wasn't enough to take down the Celts.
UST Baseball wraps up their second season with a series victory over Schreiner. The Celts ended their 2021 campaign with a winning record, going 17-16.
