Baez is a Houston native who graduated from Houston Baptist University '16. While at HBU Baez played collegiate soccer for the Huskies as a center midfielder, making the academic all-conference team all four years. Upon graduating with his degree in Kinesiology wellness management, Baez coached Albion Hurricanes. He then moved to the collegiate ranks to be the men's and women's assistant at University of Houston-Victoria. While at UHV Alex helped the Jaguars Men's team win three regular seasons and two conference tournaments. As for the women, they reached new heights making the conference tournament in two of his three seasons with the team. Now at University of St. Thomas Alex will be responsible for assisting both men's and women's soccer as an assistant coach.
