Men's Soccer Crushes Crusaders 7-0

The University of St. Thomas Celts took care of business this Sunday afternoon, defeating the University of Dallas 7-0 at Aveva Stadium.

The first half ended with the Celts up 5-0. In the first half, goals were scored by Jayce Nunn, assisted by Diego LazoJuan Gutierrez, assisted by Andres Marquez, Taty Aleman, assisted by Gabe Salako, Taty Aleman, assisted by Fabian Delgado, Daniel Castro, assisted by Hamilton Estrada. The Celts dominated the ball the entire half, and goalkeeper Rodrigo Lazo with his defense didn't allow for any promising attacks from the crusaders.

The second half Celts continued to penetrate the goal, and created a handful of more opportunities. Taty Aleman completed his hat trick in the 51st minute, assisted by Gabe Salako. Shortly after in the 54th minute, Taty continued his point streak by assisting Daniel Castro with his second goal. "Were all 7-0 which is not bad, and its important to keep going toward the goal," Taty Aleman added. Coach Ian Clerihew managed to rotate the substitutions and utilize his deep bench of players.

The Celts finished this game with 32 shots, 15 on goal. Dallas finished with 3 shots, none on goal.

The Celts will face Trinity University this Friday night on October 21st. The game will be played at Aveva stadium at 5pm. We will celebrate Imperial SC Youth Night and have a Pink Out and The Lady Celts will play after at 7:30pm.
