Sunday afternoon the University of St. Thomas Celts collected another win after defeating the Schreiner Mountaineers 2-0 at Aveva Stadium.

During the first half, the Celts battled against the wind but were still able to create many promising chances. Daniel Castro finished a simple ball in front of the goal in the 21st minute, assisted by Dany Ramirez. In the first half Celts recorded 7 shots. Whilst the Mountaineers tallied 5 shots. 

In the second half, the Celts persisted, and they took a total of 11 shots. The Celts maintained the majority of the match's possession. Despite chance after chance, the Celts struggled to add to the scoreboard. In the 77th minute, Gabe Salako managed to slip one past the keeper. Salako's goal was assisted by Angel Ramirez.

The Celts now hold a record of 11-1-3, and next up they will face Centenary for the last regular season game on Saturday, October 29th at 3pm.
