Men's Soccer Drains Concordia, 1-0

Men's Soccer Drains Concordia, 1-0

Men's Soccer remained undefeated after a 1-0 win over the Tornados of Concordia University. The Celts led Concordia in nearly every statistical category en route to their key regional victory.

A first half which saw a barrage of UST shots would almost wither away, as they were unable to capitalize on nine of their ten shots. However, a Daniel Castro header, assisted by Felipe Marques, would put the Celts on the board first with three minutes left in the half.

The second half resembled that of the first, in that St. Thomas controlled from the opening kick. Offensively, the Celts would keep constant pressure on Concordia's keeper, putting up six shots in the half. On the defensive end, they would only surrender one shot. This is the third game in a row that the Celts have held their opponents to two shots or less in the final 45 minutes.

Men's Soccer will travel to Belton, Texas Saturday to take on Mary-Hardin Baylor.
