DANIEL CASTRO OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a junior forward from Pasedena, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 10th through Sunday, October 16th. SCAC Men's Soccer Release (Week 7)
Castro was a force for the Celts in a pair of SCAC road victories last weekend, registering a league high five points on two goals and an assist. In Friday's win over Austin College, Castro netted the game-winning goal and then followed that performance up with a goal and an assist in the Celts win over Dallas on Sunday. Castro is now third in the SCAC in both goals and points with nine and 22 respectively.
