Kiara Lemon brings a diverse and extensive background to her role as Assistant Coach for the University of St. Thomas Women's Basketball Team in Houston, TX, a position she has held since July 2023.

Kiara's journey in the basketball world began with her role at the NBA Summer League with VSL Properties in Las Vegas, NV, where she served as an NBA Intern in Strength and conditioning and Coaching. As a Community Relations Liaison, she played a crucial role in front desk duties, greeting customers, verifying credentials for players and coaching staff, and addressing inquiries.

Building on her NBA experience, Kiara continued to make significant contributions within the National Basketball Association itself, holding positions in Las Vegas, NV, and Houston, TX, since March 2022. Her roles included serving as a Team Attendant, Assistant Equipment Manager, and On-Court Game Attendant, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the intricacies of basketball operations.

Kiara's passion for the sport and dedication to player development led her to assume the role of Assistant Coach at the University of St. Thomas. In this capacity, she oversees all team activities, including the supervision of games and training sessions. Kiara actively contributes to recruitment efforts, manages emails and phone calls, and plays a pivotal role in creating a positive team environment. Her responsibilities also encompass monitoring athlete and overall team performance, making travel arrangements, and supervising training and workout sessions. Kiara ensures meticulous record-keeping of athlete performance and game statistics, contributing to the team's success.

Prior to her coaching role, Kiara gained valuable experience at the Southern California Sports Rehabilitation Clinic in Los Angeles, CA, where she served as a Clinical Sports Rehabilitation Receptionist/Assistant from February 2021 to 2022. In this position, she welcomed and checked in patients, collected personal, medical, and insurance information, and coordinated physician schedules. Kiara also performed essential clerical duties such as word processing, data entry, answering phones, and filing, highlighting her organizational skills and attention to detail. Prior to her professional career, Coach Lemon was also part of the Mojave High School team in 2017-2018 that won the all-conference championship.

Currently, Coach Lemon is pursuing her B.A. in Kinesiology of Strength & Conditioning Exercise Science with expected graduation in Spring 2025.
