Seguin, Texas—The University of St. Thomas Women's Soccer team traveled to Texas Lutheran University, where they took on the second-place Bulldogs. The Celts bounced back from a tough defensive outing at Concordia and played very well but were narrowly defeated 1-0. The loss drops UST to an overall record of 6-4-2 and 2-3 in SCAC play.
In the first half, a Bulldog scored in the 29th minute, as Callie Brame netted the game's only goal off assists from Kelly Wolfe and Klarissa Martinez. However, the Celts struggled to find any offensive connection and could not push forward, managing just one good chance in the match.
In the second half, the St. Thomas defense stayed strong and kept the final result in question. UST battled and had two late corners to make things interesting but could not capitalize on the set pieces as the clock ticked away. Ultimately, the 1-0 result stood, and the Celts dropped their 3rd straight contest.
