UST Soccer Player Paola Colon's Journey to Student Body President

Paola Colon, a dedicated student at the University of St. Thomas, is making a notable impact on campus life. Originally from a Puerto Rican background, Paola grew up near Houston, Texas, where her love for family, soccer, and exploring different cultures flourished.

Currently pursuing a biology degree with a pre-med focus, Paola excels both academically and athletically. She not only manages challenging coursework but also captains the UST women's soccer team, earning recognition such as the All SCAC second team and the CELT award in 2023 for her skills and dedication.

Beyond soccer, Paola's passion for community service led her to run for Student Body President. Motivated by a belief in the power of leadership to bring positive change, she aims to enhance student life by promoting inclusivity, improving access to resources, and amplifying student voices across campus.

Supported by advice from her mother, Paola embraces challenges fearlessly, balancing her presidential duties with academics and athletics. Drawing on her experience in soccer, she approaches her roles with structure and teamwork.
