The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference released their Women's Soccer all SCAC teams. St. Thomas was represented on the list with five student-athletes on it.
Karson Funderburk and Paola Colon both achieved second-team honors. Funderburk, the senior out of Cypress, Texas tied for most goals on the team with four. She also played in all 18 matches and started all but two. Karson also picked up the game-winner against Austin College. Colon was very active on defense for St. Thomas helping the Celts lock down opponents. Paola helped lead a defense that had 3 shutouts on the year.
Next, Emma Cerda and Mary Pham both received honorable mentions. Cerda kicked off her freshman season strong playing in all but one game and getting things done for the Celts on both ends of the field. Defensively, she helped a defense that had three shutouts, and offensively chipped in a goal and assist for three points on the season. Pham, a senior out of Katy, Texas finished her career on a high note scoring a goal against Dallas. She also played offense and defense for St. Thomas and was also a captain for the squad.
Finally, Mariana Alvarez-Garcia was named to the all-freshman team. Mariana had a stellar freshman year starting all games but three and notching three goals and two assists. In the Celts' first game of the season, she scored the game-winner to help St. Thomas pick up their first-ever win as part of NCAA Division III.
