Briana Salinas, junior goalkeeper from Fort Worth, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, September 19th.
Salinas posted her best performance of the season as St. Thomas earned its first result of the year in a 0-0 double overtime draw with East Texas Baptist last Friday. In just her second start of the year, Salinas corralled a season-high nine saves in 110 minutes of action, as St. Thomas posted its first shutout of the 2021 campaign.
Women's Soccer returns to the pitch this Friday in Georgetown to take on Southwestern University.
