UST Women's Soccer won their last game of the regular season, with a 2-1 win over Austin College.
The first half began with the Cetls immediately testing the Roo's goalkeeper with 4 back-to-back shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of the game. UST controlled the half only allowing the Roo's to get one shot on goal that was saved by Goalkeeper Emily Edwards. At the 26th minute, UST's Desiree Lewis made a run into the final third crossing the ball into the box. Riley Keck found herself at the end of that pass locking it into the back of the net, making the game 1-0. Austin College answered with a goal of their own at the 36th minute resulting in the half ending at a 1-1 tie.
The second half mirrored that of the first with the Celts offense controlling most of the game. At the 53rd minute the Celts earned a penalty kick after being fouled in the box. Lewis stepped up to take the penalty kick essentially putting the Celts up 2-1. UST out shot Austin 7 to 3 with 2 of those being shots on goal. Edwards ended the half with two saves allowing the Celts to win their last home game of the season.
