HOUSTON,TX- The University of St. Thomas (UST) Celts capped off their three-game series against McMurry University in dominant fashion, securing a 4-0 win on Saturday. With the victory, the Celts completed the series sweep, improving their overall record to 4-3 and remaining undefeated in conference play at 3-0.

The Celts wasted no time taking control of the game, jumping out to an early lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. Samantha Crumrin delivered a clutch double to left field, driving in Jaelyn Simmons and Rebecca Archibald to put UST up 2-0. Savana Henken followed with another double, this time to right field, allowing Taylor Hollins to advance to third and Samantha Crumrin to score, extending the lead to 3-0.

The game settled into a defensive battle over the next four innings, with both teams held scoreless through the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings. The Celts' pitching and defense remained sharp, keeping McMurry off the board.

In the bottom of the 6th, the Celts added an insurance run to seal the victory. Gabby Davila tripled to left field, driving in Lindsey Gonzalez to make it 4-0. The Warhawks were unable to respond in the top of the 7th, as the Celts closed out the game with another strong defensive stand.
