In the rubber match, St. Thomas would struggle to get things going from the batter's box and would fall 7-1 to the Mountaineers.
Schreiner would start off red-hot, putting up at least one run in each of the first five innings. The Celts would only supply two hits in the contest, amounting for just one run to be scored. St. Thomas would strand nine runners on base throughout the game, failing to spark a comeback to steal the series from Schrenier.
The Celts will continue conference play next weekend as they host Dallas on Saturday, March 12th.
