Mallarie Munson, a sophomore outfielder from Danbury, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Friday, February 4 through Sunday, February 6.

Munson led the Celts to a perfect 2-0 start to open the 2022 campaign after posting a sweep of Concordia last Sunday. Munson batted .667, going 4-for-6 at the plate with three RBI, two runs scored, two doubles and a walk. She posted a .714 on-base percentage slugged 1.000. In the opener, Munson cracked a go-ahead two-run double, pushing the Celts to a 5-4 victory before going a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate in game two.

St. Thomas will continue play this weekend as they travel to UH-Victoria for a doubleheader.
