UST Softball completed their weekend with a three-game sweep over the Centenary Ladies with an 8-1 victory on Sunday. 

The Celts got out of the gate quickly going up 2-0 in the top of the first after a triple from Brenna Ruether drove in both runs for the Celts. Lindsey Longuet was dealing on the mound and after going six-up six-down in the first two innings. The Celts would capitalize by adding another two runs to their lead on RBI's from Mallarie Munson and Brenna Ruether. After a Grace Cofeelt RBI single, the Celts would extend their lead to five with the game winding down. Longuet continued to torment the Ladies, after six innings pitched she had allowed no hits, thrown four strikeouts, and only allowed two batters to reach base.

A stellar day on the mound from Lindsey Longuet led the Celts to the weekend sweep. Longuet finished the day throwing  five strikeouts and only allowing one hit. Brenna Ruether had herself a day going 4-4 with 5 RBI's. Shae Montemayor also had a strong showing at the plate going 4-5 and accounting for three of the Celts eight runs. 

The Celts return home to face the Trinity Tigers this Friday at 6:00 PM.
