UST Softball avenged their first loss against Howard Payne today by cruising to a 7-0 victory.

The bats were hot for the Celts in the second game of a back-to-back ; a game that featured 12 hits and 2 home runs for UST.

The scoring was kicked off by a solo blast to left field by Grace Coeffelt in the 2nd inning to put the Celts ahead 1-0. They began to pour it on in the 3rd inning with a two-run home run from Mallarie Munson and a single from Mia Terry that scored Brenna Reuther. UST would also plate a run due to Yellow Jacket errors in this inning. After taking a commanding 5-0 lead heading into the 4th, the Celts would add another run in both the 6th and 7th innings on RBI's from Emma Garrett and Ariana Brown. A stellar day on the mound from Lindsey Longuet shut out the Yellow Jackets. Longuet recorded 5 strikeouts while only walking two batters and allowing 5 hits. 

 The Celts move to 7-7 (2-1) on the season and will begin a three game series against Centenary College next Saturday at 12:00 PM.
