
In the most recent golfstat.com Men's Division III player ranking, two Celts are near the top. Seniors Cade Kiser and Jonathan Miller are ranked 12th and 15th in the nation after the first two tournaments of the season. The University of St. Thomas is the only Division III school with two golfers in the Top 15.
Cade Kiser, from Katy, Texas has had a strong start to his senior campaign. Kiser finished T8th at the CA State Intercollegiate, firing rounds of 70, 72, 70, (-4). Three weeks later, Kiser would take first place at the Tempest Intercollegiate firing rounds of 73, 72, 70 (-1), earning him SCAC golfer of the week honors. With a scoring average of 71.17, Kiser looks to continue his quality play at the Crusader Invitational on October 24-25.
After carding two wins last season, Jonathan Miller, a native of Beaumont, Texas, has picked up where he left off. In two tournaments this season, he boasts a 71.33 scoring average. At the CA State Intercollegiate, Miller finished fifth, firing rounds of 70, 72, 68, (-6). Three weeks later, Miller would fire rounds of 76, 71, 71, (+2) finishing in third place at the Tempest Intercollegiate. Miller looks forward to the Crusader Invitational - a tournament where he finished in 2nd place one season ago.
