SAN ANTONIO, TX—After a long day in the sun, the St. Thomas men's golf team finds itself in a difficult position. The team traveled to San Antonio to compete in the Alamo City Classic, hosted by Trinity University at The Quarry Golf Course. The host Tigers call the Quarry home, but the Celts have not found it too hospitable.

After two rounds, the Celts are in 6th place with a total score of 366. While UST is too far back to catch the leaders – LeTourneau (+2), they are only 2 strokes back of the two teams in front of them.
For St. Thomas, Marshall Hatcher and Antonio Ramirez led the way, both tied for 9th individually with total scores of 148 (rounds of 74 and 74). Cameron Curtis also had a solid performance, finishing tied for 15th with a total score of 155 (rounds of 77 and 78).
Meanwhile, Lawson Fiscus and Drake Durrett demonstrated resilience on the course, facing some challenges throughout the day. They are eager to build on their experiences and make a strong comeback in tomorrow's final round.
LeTourneau University leads the tournament with a score of 290, highlighted by an impressive second round of 282. Both Trinity [A] and Trinity [B] are tied for second place with scores of 302. Texas Lutheran [A] follows in fourth with a total of 331.
As the Celts prepare for Day 2, they aim to move up the leaderboard and finish strong at the Alamo City Classic.
