
SAN ANTONIO,TX- St. Thomas Men's Golf team kicked off their spring season at the TPC San Antonio Shootout, hosted by Schreiner, and currently sits in third place through two rounds. The Celts posted a +15 in Round 1 but bounced back impressively with an even-par performance in Round 2, keeping them in contention heading into the final day.

Leading the way for St. Thomas is Antonio Ramirez, who sits in a tie for 5th place at +2. Ramirez showed consistency across both rounds, carding a +1 in each. Right behind him is Marshall Hatcher, who is tied for 9th at +3 after an up-and-down opening round followed by a strong -1 in Round 2.
Jesus Del Aguila finished the day at +5, placing him in a tie for 16th. He showed steady improvement from the first to the second round, cutting three strokes off his score. Cameron Curtis also sits at +5 in 23rd place, highlighted by a major moment in Round 2 when he recorded an albatross—one of the rarest shots in golf. His second-round score of -1 helped him climb the leaderboard.
Matthew Van Hoy wrapped up the Celts' scoring at +8, placing him in a tie for 32nd. His Round 2 performance saw a two-stroke improvement, demonstrating the team's ability to adjust and compete on a challenging course.
