Women's Cross Country raced at the very anticipated Rice Invitational this Friday evening. Racing with an against a plethora of Division I runners, St. Thomas finished 6th place, the highest placing DIII school at the meet, and ahead of SCAC Rival Texas Lutheran.

1. Sophia Sanchez led the team, finishing in 33rd place with a remarkable time of 16 minutes and 42 seconds, maintaining a strong pace of 4 minutes and 10 seconds per kilometer.

2. Alejandra Ramon closely followed in 34th place, crossing the finish line just seconds behind Sophia Sanchez, with a time of 16 minutes and 44.8 seconds, also running at a pace of 4 minutes and 11 seconds per kilometer.

3. Ashlee Garcia secured the 41st position with a time of 17 minutes and 16.4 seconds, running at a steady pace of 4 minutes and 19 seconds per kilometer.

4. Kianna Stamps finished in 43rd place with a time of 17 minutes and 28.3 seconds, maintaining a pace of 4 minutes and 22 seconds per kilometer.

5. Elizabeth Stepaniak secured the 45th position, completing the race in 17 minutes and 43.4 seconds, with a pace of 4 minutes and 26 seconds per kilometer.

6. Gizelle Gonzalez closely followed in 46th place, finishing just behind Elizabeth Stepaniak with a time of 17 minutes and 45.7 seconds, also running at a pace of 4 minutes and 26 seconds per kilometer.

7. Samantha Hernandez finished in 49th place with a time of 18 minutes and 5 seconds, running at a pace of 4 minutes and 31 seconds per kilometer.

8. Elyssa Rodarte gave a strong effort and secured a position in the race, crossing the finish line with a time of 18 minutes and 38 seconds, running at a pace of 4 minutes and 39 seconds per kilometer.

When the scores were tallied, St. Thomas finished with 196 total points, good for 6th overall.
