Ramon Leads St. Thomas at Celt Opener Meet

The University of St. Thomas Women's Cross Country team had a memorable start to their season at the Celt Opener Meet, with some outstanding performances that bode well for the season ahead. Among the standout athletes, freshman Alejandra Ramon made a significant impact in her debut race.

In the highly competitive field, it was Alyvia Brown from Texas Southern who secured the top spot with a remarkable time of 12:29. However, it was Alejandra Ramon, representing the University of St. Thomas, who caught the eye of many with her impressive performance. The talented freshman crossed the finish line in third place, completing the course in a swift 12:54. 

Supporting Alejandra Ramon were her teammates, who delivered strong performances as well. Samantha Hernandez, a senior, finished in fourth place with a time of 12:57, and Ashlee Garcia was not far behind, securing fifth place with a time of 13:02. The University of St. Thomas women's team displayed excellent teamwork and determination, with Elyssa Rodarte (13:04), Sophia Sanchez (13:10), and others contributing to the team's success.
