First Team! Aleman, Castro, and Estrada Headline All SCAC Honors

The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Released their All-SCAC Men's Soccer team. Leading the way on the list for St. Thomas was First Teamers Hamilton Estrada, Daniel Castro, and Taty Aleman.

Estrada a sophomore out of Houston, Texas started at defense for the Celts in every single match. Estrada helped back up a Celt defense that allowed just .083 points per game, and recorded five shutouts. He also contributed offensively, chipping in three assists on the season.

Daniel Castro, the sophomore from Cypress, Texas also picked up first team honors. Castro scored 17 goals and 4 assists on the season for a total of 38 points. Daniel ranked second in the SCAC for his outstanding play this year, and had four game winners. He earned SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third time in his career for his outstanding performance against Southwestern and East Texas Baptist.

Lastly, Taty Aleman was the final Celt to earn first team honors. Aleman started the season with a bang, scoring four goals against non-conference opponent Sul Ross St, and a total of 16 goals in the season, third in the SCAC. Taty also earned SCAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors twice this season as he made an impact every time he stepped onto the field.
