Men's Soccer dropped a heartbreaker to No. 2 Trinity in extra time. A Tiger goal in the 103^rd minute would allow them to escape Houston with a win.

The Celts would strike first in this one after a hand ball would create a penalty kick opportunity. Andres Marquez would find the back of the net and put St. Thomas on top. However, Trinity would answer with a goal of their own just 35 seconds later. The Tigers wouldn't stop there, they would yet again score in the 27^th minute to break the tie and take the advantage. With momentum shifting toward Trinity, Daniel Castro would bring it right back in favor of the Celts with an equalizing 31^st minute goal, assisted by Marquez.

The second half may have lacked goals, but the intensity was still very present. After playing a man down for the final 22 minutes of regulation, the game would head into extra time.

The first half of overtime would end in a stalemate as the Celts and the Tigers would trade shots for the entire 10 minutes. Unfortunately, Trinity would net the game-winning goal just three minutes into the second overtime period.

The Celts will travel to Shreveport, Louisiana next week to take on the Gents of Centenary College.
