Men's Soccer remained unbeaten in SCAC play after a convincing 4-0 victory over Austin College. Daniel Castro continued to shine, netting two goals and dishing out one assist in the contest.
The Celts would dominate every aspect of the match from start to finish. They would jump on the Roos' early after Castro would score his first goal of the game in the 11th minute. After holding Austin College scoreless for the remainder of the first half, St. Thomas would open up the second half with another score within the first 54 seconds. Juan Gutierrez would be the recipient of this goal, logging his fifth of the season.
Castro would net his fifth goal of the weekend and second of the match in the 54th minute to put the Celts up 3-0. Only 15 minutes later, Ian Alvarez would join the scoring affair with a strike in the 69th minute to close the door on the Roos'.
This marks the end of the Celts' regular season. With a 10-2-4 record overall and a 6-0-2 record in conference play, St. Thomas heads into the SCAC Tournament as the two seed. They will take on the three-seeded Southwestern University.
