Daniel Castro, a freshman forward from Houston, Texas has been named the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, October 31st.

Castro continued his torrid streak, lifting St. Thomas to a weekend sweep and the No. 2 seed going into the SCAC Tournament following a league best 11 points on five goals and one assist. In Friday's 5-1 win over Dallas, Castro struck for a hat-trick and then closed out the reg- ular season with two goals and an assist in the Celts 4-0 win over Austin College on Sunday. The freshman has climbed the SCAC offensive leaderboard down the stretch and now sits second in both goals with 12 and points with 27. 

Castro and the Celts will take on the SCAC Tournament this weekend and are set to open up with a semifinal match versus Southwestern.
